Thanks
so much for coming!
RHS
20-year Class Reunion
was a Success!
It was a Huge Turnout!
Note: We are moving our Website to:
http://www.geocities.com/rhs_class81
Over 100 people
showed up to the Friday Night
Bonfire/Crab Feedand with the help of Robin Newman
and her husband, and Bruce Miller, and a few others, we had lots
of crab! For the non-crab lovers, we had lots of sausage dogs,
chips, etc., Nice-n-Hot for the taking. The bonfire wood was donated
by Barb Abbott and Shawn Cline. Terry Fletcher and Bob Kramer
(Norene's husband) made sure we had a roaring fire on the beach!
We were lucky enough to have Mr. Knudsen, Mr. Wiggins,
and Mrs. Tibbles show up Friday night and reminsce with
all of us. I think they had fun, too! (Knudsen
teased me, I forgot to put film in the camera and was shooting
blanks! --H)
Both of our exchange students came for the reunion weekend! Juan
Vallejo, Equador, and Guylaine Forest, Quebec, who traveled to
see us. It was great to see them.
Heard there was a great turnout at the Saturday
Golf Scramble in the afternoon. We need to get Shawn's
thoughts on the day for this one as he was there. (I
can't wait to see the pictures on this... hope somebody sends
me some!)
Between 85 and 90 people joined the Saturday
Evening Cocktails, Dinner and Dancing at Lakeshore
Lodge. Owned by Daron Weathers, the Lodge, the food, the hospitality,
all were THE BEST!
We were all impressed. I think every classmate and guest were
blown away by the menu selections Daron had, and the quality and
quantity of seafood and steaks. Thanks again, Daron! (Norene
and I've been to alot of expensive events in California and Portland,
corporate and otherwise, and we KNOW that our money could NOT
have bought the quality we got. Daron did a VERY
charitable thing here.--H)
Saturday night,
Mr. Woolsey, Mr. Mix and Mrs. Mix, your second-grade
teacher, and the famous Jim Deardorf showed up. Jim's art
furniture has been featured at the Real
Mother Goose Gallery!
A big thank
you goes out to Alice Andruss, as well. She volunteered to take
all the pictures for Friday night AND Saturday night. Can't wait
to see those! Keep watching on the web page, we are hoping Heidi
can put alot of those photos up soon!
An Extra thank
you to Bob King. The chainsaw carving he donated to be raffled
raised $233 for the reunion fund!
Congratulations to Jeff Cummings, he was the lucky winner of the
drawing for two roundtrip airline tickets, donated by Terry Fletcher,
for the reunion. Thanks again, Terry!
Norene survived! A full year of planning paid off. With the help
of her computer and many, many friends and classmates the reunion
was everything we could have wanted and more!
We are already planning the 25 year reunion, so make sure you
keep your address current with Norene so she can find you:
Norene Rose-Kramer, norenekramer@hotmail.com, or
Heidi Freytag, heidi_freytag@yahoo.com.
Rumors have the 25 year reunion somewhere in Mexico. We'll keep
you posted! Put
your Suggestions on the RHS-Web-Group! Read
other People's Suggestions or Thoughts on the Reunion.
